Welcome

Aloha, E Komo Mai, hello and welcome to Lae'ula O Kai outrigger canoe club. We are a culturally based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at Kanaha, on the north shore of Maui, Hawaii. Our mission is "To perpetuate the sport and culture of Hawaiian canoe paddling in an atmosphere of respect and aloha. We strive to be Lae'ula O Kai, well-trained and wise in the ways of the lowlands and seas."

Current Practice Schedule

Junior Division Practice
  • 14's-18's: Tues, Wed, Thurs at 3:30pm
  • 12's-13's: Mon, Tues, Thurs at 3:30pm
  • Manini (11&under): Starts in May.
  • Practice with the age you were on January 1, 2013
Women's Practice
  • Open: Mon, Tues, Thurs at 5:30am
  • Novice A&B: Mon, Wed at 5:30am, Sun at 7:00
  • 55+: Mon, Wed at 5:30am, Sun at 7:00
    (might switch Sun to Thurs for 55+, TBA)
  • Afternoon: Tues, Thurs at 5:15pm
    Will add another afternoon 1st week of May
    Please let Sharon know if you plan to come to afternoons.
Men's Practice
  • All Men: Mon, Wed, Thurs at 5:15pm
    Weekend practice (Sat or Sun TBD) starting weekend of 4/20
Dryland Training
  • All members: Tues 5pm at stadium
Times shown are when the canoes will leave the beach, so please come early.
